I'm in providence. I've only met one in person but I know there are at least 2 in town, many in Jamestown/Newport/ south county.

I'm not up on it, talk to Osajaj, I think he told me he wheels with guys from CT if I remember? Others I'm sure will chime in at some point. Might have been someone else, I was asking the same questions a while ago and then I had two kids....

I'm the guy from CT Omar wheels with. I made a facebook group for CT rover owners a few years ago. Its very informal, I post up when and where I'm going out and anyone who wants is more than welcome to tag along. I go to school in omaha so most of the events occur when I'm home on breaks. There will be a lot of gatherings this summer. Aaron and I will be mad dashing to get my 88 running before british by the sea, so I'll have a shop day or two. Then the big event is British By the Sea weekend (see the other thread http://forums.roversnorth.com/showthread.php?14416-British-by-the-sea), camp friday, off road saturday, go to the show on sunday all muddy. If you're on facebook I recommend joining the group, otherwise pm me your contact info and I'll keep you in the loop. https://www.facebook.com/groups/6134411996/?bookmark_t=group

The last big nonevent we put on was an expedition to allie's donuts, and my motor sh!t the bed, here's some pics: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151146866716886.432422.646291885&type=1&l=8af4c9eafd

Yes, I'm guessing I was visiting Lilly Marlene's. Looking forward to pulling the roof off again, need to get a new windscreen though, mine has stress fractures around the hinges.

Restored? From what I remember of Metal Dash a few years ago, it's already in a pretty pristine and restored condition. Are you just having original dealer's window stickers installed?

;)

Haha, she is pretty clean. But she is going to get a galvanized chassis, all pulled apart and cleaned up, brakes , suspension, etc. I hope next time you see her you will think it is even in better condition!

Haven't visited this forum for a few months, so I just saw this posting... I'm down in North Kingstown with a 1974 88". It's not back on the road quite yet as I'm finishing up a couple of things, but hope to be driving it within the next couple of weeks. I would be up for meeting up if there is a gathering!

I'm going to be taking a summer class during May, so unfortunately while I'll be studying coastal ecology in the gulf of Mexico, I will be missing British by the Sea this year. That being said, I would like to plan some get togethers in late June, July, or August. Some ideas I have: Newport Happy Hour and cruise, or a Watch Hill happy hour and cruise, an off road trip in eastern CT, and a shop day or 5 to get my 88 back on the road after its engine trouble. To those who joined the facebook group, I will post up with more information there, and I can post here too if there is interest.

I'll send each of you a pm to make sure you get this, but to all who live in this area, you NEED to check out the Muddy Chef Challenge II, taking place August 9-11 in Mystic CT, a literal stones throw from RI. Coffees and cruises it is, seems like there are a good number of people in the area! This will be good.

Tweaked, is it your friend who has a blue 107?

Rob, depending when my rover is done that may not be far enough out.

A great way to burn off thanksgiving is through driving your power-steering-less rover!
hope to see you there!
