    First carb rebuild question

    Gents,
finishing up my first rebuild. New gasket doesnt match the old one.

Do i simply cut the new gasket to match or is there some other secret hand-shake to knowledge for something that looks so simple but is really just simple to mess up?

    Thanks, rob

What carb are you working on?
    How are the gaskets different?

Not trying to be smart or anything but have you tried flipping the gasket over?

If it''s a zenith rebuild kit, most of mine didn't fit either.. I used an exacto knife and dremel tool to get them to fit, they all made it through and the carb has been working fine since. -it's a shame how ****ty some of these parts kits are.

I have found that anything other than a Genuine Zenith rebuild kit is mostly junk.
