Hey Guys,

Who is planning on going to the British Invasion this year? It's the year of the Land Rover so we are hopping to get more Rovers this year. We are also working on a couple actives for Rovers only.

We are thinking a Friday afternoon drive up the Mt Mansfield toll road.

Also off roading on some local land I own about 30 minutes from the field in middlesex. A good mix of terrain....also possibly doing a night ride for those interested,

If any one else has any ideas on things they want to do post up!

Right now my plans for the Invasion are as follows.

Friday 3:00pm Mount Mansfield toll rd climb.
Drinks at the invasion 5:30-7:30

Saturday after the show ends ice cream at Ben and Jerries on way to off roading/cook out using the sankey field kitchen at my place in Middlesex VT, about 25-30 minutes from the show field. A good mix of trails . Followed by bon fire and night trail rides for anyone up to it. Why not use your fancy ligjts or night vision goggles in my case?

So glad to hear that BI is alive and well. Went to many of the earliest ones before being sidetracked by kids.

I am planning on going this year (sure way to jinx my truck). Having never attended what do I need to do, what is the registration for? I will be driving the truck below which has a rats a$$ chance of competing for anything. I assume to just go and observe all you need is to pay admission fees. Is there a benefit I'm not seeing for registering. Any info / specifics about the event to enlighten me would be great. Thanks Bob

It's $60 to register a car and includes two admission passes for both days. Registration can be mailed in or done Friday evening at the event field from 4-7.

if you don't register you can not park or show your car on then show field and you still pay $20 I think per person to get in. I have done it both ways and it a lot more fun to meet people and have your Rover on the field.

Same here. I think we brought our first born for one of them but that was it. For us, the change of venue from the farm did us in too.

Plan on driving up from Saratoga Springs on Friday morning/early afternoon with my '73 109 5-door. Happy to caravan with anyone from the area or passing through on the Northway. PM me if interested.

The new Disco axles are in place.
The P38 power steering box is in place.
The NV4500 5-speed tranny and Series Transfer case are being test fitted this week, and then the Isuzu 4cyl turbo diesel goes in next week.

Everything is on schedule to be finished for the show.
