Have a look at these. Used to be common on Leyland vehicles back in the day.

Notes: This is designed to be installed in conjunction with a factory switch on a vehicle equipped with self-parking wipers which are not concealed when parked. This additional switch will allow the old style system to operate with an intermittent feature.

Ah, but would this work with the twin motors on an older Series, as those were not self parking motors?

My wipers (single motor, two speed) are intermittent. -they work for about 30 minutes, then stop and wont work until the next day. every time.
