Choke knob broke need a replacement

The black plastic pull knob cracked and broke off the straight shaft on my choke. The assembly still works fine but it's a bit of a pain to reach under there and pull that straight shaft out. I'd rather not incur the cost of a whole new choke cable (assuming they're still available). Has anyone solved a similar calamity by replacing just the knob? If so, how'd ya' do it? I'm not too worried about authenticity just practicality.

    Thanks.

I replaced mine with a generic choke cable assembly from an auto part store. Your choke light will not work with this set-up, but I think it works better than the original one that comes with the webber 34ICH carb.
