Hello lads,
Besides keeping the battery up to charge,, what other things do series owners suggest to keep the lovely landie ready to rover on in the snow?

Some sort of block heater is handy.

Decent tyres and good winter clothing, plus ice scraper.

Chains!! If you only have 1 set, put them on the front.

Don't really do anything differently than I would for spring, summer or fall here in southern N.E. Unless you have a diesel there really isn't much else to do that you shouldn't be doing already.

I put about 200 lb. of sandbags over the rear axle - much better traction......

maybe ok on a trail but don't try to drive on a road with only chains on the front wheels , you will swap ends in a heartbeat

The few times that I've done it, I've never had a problem. However, I'm talking about uncleared roads where chains were about the only way to make progress.
