    Disco 1 Rear A/C removal

    Hi all,

I'd like to eliminate the rear passenger A/C unit as the freon pipes underneath leak like a sieve. I replaced the piping from the compressor to the front evaporator with a set from a "front-only" truck and charged it up successfully (no leaks,,,yeah!!!). Unfortunately the compressor clutch won't go on and it's not getting a signal to.

Has anyone done this conversion?? I'm guessing there is some sensor in the rear unit that I need to short/jump out but I'm at a loss. The "combined pressure sensor" in the front is not getting any 12v juice at all.

Anyone have any experience with this?? Do I maybe need a controller from a front-only truck??

I'll add that prior to swapping the pipes it would work when initially charged but would simply leak down after a few hours due to the leaky pipes to the rear.

    THanks!!!
