hello,

I am looking to keep the classic look of my landrover S2a, and in the same time I want to give it a comfortable ride. Therefore, I would to reduce the stock leaf thinking that would add comfort.

My use of this truck is mainly on road and show, and raerly I am doing sandy off-road due to low engine power 2.25liter.

I am thinking in two option of removing leaf:
Option 1: Front removing leaf number (1, 2 and 3) rear removing leaf number (1, 2 and 4)
Option 2: Front removing leaf number (4, 6 and 7) rear removing leaf number (5, 6 and 7)

Option1 normal sence to get more swing (hopefull not too much;))
Option2 to give comfort ride and if there is a load then short leaf would support.

looking for hint, assistance, help...:o

Regards,
Ahmad

Better to buy a set of Old Man Emu shock absorbers and a pair of Defender seats. Less work, better result.

The stiffness is in leaf spring, I retest it by loading the carrier, I barely notice slight movement in the top (longest) leafs. Where most of load obsorb in the tyres. It is like axel fixed to chassis :(

Other friends told I have to consider the high if some leaf is removed.

Any assistance?

You may find they will start to fatigue rather quickly if you start removing leafs from the pack.

It looks no chance to get comfort ride either reduce tyre pressure 15psi (cheapest not count fuel consumption) or parabolic!

What is the advice if start thinking in parabolic for series2a 88" SWB?

Why not try parabolic springs, they are comfy, they move more.

Any hints how to select?
