Hi all

I am restoring a 1977 SWB Petrol Landrover and it has a Solex carb ... do you recommend I overhaul it or change it to a Zenith?

I am hearing a lot of conflicting stories. ... Heeeelp !!!!!!

Thanks

Craig,

There are a lot of fans of various carbs. I like the Weber 34 ICT or the Rochester. You will find lots of discussions on this topic on this site.

If you're RESTORING it, doesn't that, by definition, mean that you're going to use whichever carb originally came with it from the factory?

Depends if the "Concours Police" are looking, or if you want a sweet runing Landy. (-:

solexes are great when they are working well. All jets are external too. However, its not original to that car. 77 would have zenith.
