    Mushroom type Gear Lever knob

    Hi to everyone,

I am new to the forum, but have owned a '71 series IIA in the past. I seem to have a Brand NEW Mushroom type gear knob.....I would like to sell --is anyone here interested?

I would like to see this put to good use instead of sitting in my garage, please let me know.

    Many Thanks,

    MF

          Craddocks lists it for £38.00.

They aren't THAT hard to find.

Well I thought I would offer here before posting it on ebay. I am hopeful to find a happy new owner for this.

I would like to get $55 including shipping (US) if someone can cover Paypal costs. I guess you can compare that to 25% more elsewhere...

I've got one, still attached to the shaft that broke off at the ball. It's mounted on my "wall of shame" next to bent valves and burned pistons.

Nope, it's a trophy if sorts. I agree with Stomper as to its value though.

I believe these sell for ~65, I did have the original box for it, but it is not available today.

This would probably work best on a series restoration rather than a DD trail truck IMHO.

That's a bit rich. They are £12.60 from Pegasus. As others have said this is no longer a rare part.

I agree. Most people who daily drive these trucks can shift without a diagram on a knob anyway. Nifty New ones only have value to the Concours d'Elegance crowd.

At 12 pounds or $30-35 including shipping, the reproduction knob is the best deal. The original knob is expensive and found at a handful of retailers online.

I would personally go with the repro.

But if someone was looking for a NOS Genuine part, then I would like to try and sell mine at a price less than the aforementioned online retailers.

I appreciate the input, its a tricky market with old cars when you can get great repro's for half the price as NOS parts. This is just one option.
