Petition to allow importing cars sooner 15 years instead of 25

There is a petition to change the import regulations to allow vehicles 15 years old to be imported to the US.

Please read and sign and urge everyone you know to sign.. We only have a couple weeks left to come up with 100K signatures.

Though I did sign this petition, I'd like to note from past experience, that the result of gathering the requisite number of signatures is that a low-level staffer, somewhere in an outlying department of the executive branch, pens up a very nice response saying what the government's current and official position on the matter is, and not much else.

Petitioning the Executive Branch of the government is better than petitioning to the Judicial Branch, but it is still the Legislative Branch that makes (and changes) laws and we, the people, don't have enough money to buy any change with them, unfortunately.

Still, hope springs eternal!
