Kodiak heater switch measurment wanted

The kodiak heater is a two speed heater. The slow speed is obtained by sending power through a wire wound resister mounted on the switch.

The resister on my switch is broken. Could someone please measure the resistance of the resister so I would know what to purchase as a replacement? Thanks.

THIS (http://www.colehersee.com/home/item/cat/142/68028/) is what I purchased as a replacement - to the best of my knowledge, it is the same as the original. The description lists the coil resistance as 3 Ohms.
