    Heater Question

I was reading a old post, and it stated that you can turn off the heater under bonnet some how.

Is this true, if so how?

    thanks

By operating the valve on the plumbing from the engine to the heater core. If you have a hot/cold heat selector lever or knob, it actuates the aforementioned valve using a cable.

I have 2 valves. One is as above on the heater box operated by the cable into the cab. The other is a stop cock on the rear of the head. One hose from the thermostat housing leads here and a second hose leads to the heater core. The only time I have used this one is to operate it to keep from rusting. Once or twice a year most likely.

      Cheers
