So I have done this process of, I'll call it trimming, cause I can't spell ,
and have noticed that after about 100 or so miles, (not my main vehicle) that the lining finally seem to be seating, and need adjustment. These are Bearmach linings, anyone find that different brands require or do not require the trim to get the drum to turn? Cheers all,,

I always chamfer the leading edge of the shoes. Not because it is needed to get them to fit, but because it is supposed to minimize noise.

I have found that Genuine or Mintex shoes fit well with pretty good contact right out of the box. I had trouble with some Allmakes shoes, and I would image that Bearmach is similar quality. If the shoes require trimming with the adjusters backed off all the way, then I would find some better quality shoes.
