PLC880 Tubed wheel run tubeless?

Can these run with modern tubeless tires? I want the look of original (Not the NATO with holes look)

I believe the answer is yes, as long as they hold air without the tubes. Be sure to put bead sealer over the center split rim groove, and you should be good to go.
