The lower bolt on the alternator will not budge. I have tried all kinds of penetrating oils, soft hammer, harder hammer, etc...
I would apply heat but it is at the lower part of the engine and with the penetrating oils and grease about thought better of that one.
Anyone have any luck with this one? Does that lower bolt screw in in the opposite direction so that the alternator can move up and down or are they regular threads?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Alternator is toast and chewing up batteries.
Thanks gang!!

Sawzall. You aren't going to save any of the old parts. Kill it.

Shouldn't be a left hand thread. Just go to the heat and take the usual safety precautions. Couple minutes and Bob's your uncle.
Can't really see why it would be that stuck unless the steel bolt has corroded to the alloy of the alternator. Stranger things have happened though.
