I have a issue with my radiator leaking at times. I tried removing last it weekend. I could not figure out how to off the air filter. It needs to come off first per the Green book instructions

Can anyone give proper directions?

I did remove one bolt from the front support
I did un lock the two side clips

It would not move and figure best to give up for now, until I get better knowledge.

thanks

Its pretty awkward to fish it out but you have the right idea. Nice looking rover!

I've found it easier to leave the muffler attached to the aluminum air elbow, and remove the assembly by unbolting the elbow from the carb. (Assuming you've already removed the bolt from the front.) Then it lifts out cleanly. Disassembly of the muffler is much easier off the truck. The cold start linkage is attached to the rear bolt, but you'll probably need to disconnect it anyway. I believe this is the factory recommend method.
