The radiator on my '74 Series III LW sprung a leek over the weekend. After doing a search I couldn't find any good guide on what all is entailed on removing the radiator and the Parts Catalog only has a basic diagram. Any pictures/tips/advise would be appreciated. THX.

Just use the same procedure as detailed in the "normal" SIII workshop manual, which I'm sure you've downloaded from the internet by now, as the basis for removing the rad in your air-portable.

Drain the radiator.
Remove the fan shroud fixings and remove the shroud.
Remove the fan blade.
Disconnect the hoses at the radiator.
Remove the radiator fixings along the top and down the sides.
Move the radiator back about 1 1/2" and lift it out.

Then go to the medicine cabinet. Grab 18 band-aids and apply at all skin leak locations. There will be plenty if you don't wear heavy gloves.

Tom - Thanks for the info. You answered the biggest question I had - do I have to remove the frame to get the radiator out. If I am reading your post correctly I do not. Slowmo - Thanks for the laugh, I needed it. Although I have no doubt your statement is 100% accurate!

Remove dirt and grime before applying skin tape, then open your favorite beer, and enjoy one or two,,,
