Love that area! Bet you guys were zooming up those pass roads. What, 25mph?

Well the Carawagon has a v8 in it so he can scream up the passes, I have the LR 6 cylinder with a Roverdrive in the Dormobile so Eisenhower was the worst. I averaged 38 MPH on the upper portion. It was not too bad as I got behind a trucker and just rode it out. I was able to maintain the spee limit on Independence due to the windy road.

A V8 would be awesome, but then he must have a different drive train. That speed on a standard drive train would either deafen me or...well it would deafen me. I have a Koenig winch using my PTO, but a Roverdrive would also be awesome. Was that 38mph in 3 over? I know that climb and I would likely see 25-30 at 3800rpm - and deafening.

I believe he has the Scotty's conversion on his rig, so Series tranny and Xfer case and a Salisbury in the rear.

To be honest with the 6 Cylinder it was not too bad, I think it runs quieter. I need to install my tach so I can check my rpms

Yes 3 over
