Slave Cylinder Rebuilds...

Brake Cylinders weren't even functioning.... its amazing the beast even stopped.....Never having done this before, I figured I would try. The brake fluid was crystalized and hardened in the cylinder. after removing them and digging them out, I cleaned them up well, boiled them out in some nice cookware, honed out the cylinder, and reassembled.

Nice job. I'm hoping to do the same thing this weekend. (Never done it before either.)

I ended up buying a brake hone at Orielly's for $16, which made cleaning out the crud on the cylinder wall much easier and got the surface nice and shiny. Good luck!
