I'm trying to figure out where the long rods are stored in a 1973 S3 88. Are there factory designated mounting locations? Or is it up to the owner to make their own mounts?

Do you have the tool clips behind the seats to place them between seats and rear bulkhead?

They look like this. If you don't have them you'll need two for the starting handle.

You will actually want 3 clips for the starting handle and 2 to 4 depending on in the jack handle is 1 piece or 2.

Good to know, Jim. My 88" only has two clips for the starting handle. Thought I was posting accurate information. Thanks for clarifying.
