Series 3 Seat Box "tool locker" and Side Panel repair question

Wondering if I need to remove the entire seat box from my 88" to replace the undersea steel storage area that has rusted out?
It "looks" like it could be done in the Rover, but then again this would be my first bodywork repair...

    Using these parts:

Above is the link to RN repair for the seatbox. Yes, this can be replaced in situ.

Thanks LES. I didnt know you had one available there. Do you also have the frame rail that needs to be taken out? It is a bit corroded and looks like a simple piece I just as well replace it when its all out.

I'm not sure the under seat box can be installed without the seatbox removed. I couldn.t do it that way.

Probably just as easy to remove the seat box.

Not sure of the channel you refer to.
As noted above, it is easier to remove the seat box to repair it, also put new handrake seal and attend to any other issue in the area ( linkage lubrication/repair etc.).
