Hello-
my new to me 73 S3 came with a nice headliner but the portion holding the sun visors that goes acroo the top of the windscreen was not installed. I looked it iver and dont see how it connects to the Rover in the area of the rear mirror section. Anyone with some pics or advice would help. Seems To me something is MIa but not sure what. Thanks.

Alternatively any Series 3s near Westchester Ny I could lay eyes upon?

There's a sheet metal bracket that is held by the 2 middle windscreen-to-roof fasteners. This bracket has a hole in it for the sheet metal screw that supports the center of that trim panel.

109's similar except only a single p/n 331391 was used:

Turns out the previous owner took it out as he said it took away another inch or so of windshield for seeing stoplights. Has me thinking now maybe to leave it out. But I'm not as tall as he was.
The schematic helps a lot, I think I'm missing one of the small brackets on the sides

Installed correctly, it doesn't take up any visual space as you view out the windscreen. On the mine, the lowest point of what I can see out the windscreen is dictated by the galvanized frame of the windscreen. The front visor board is a millimeter or two above that.

The visor board is secured by a center screw into a mounting piece that eagle shows in his picture. Then the sides of the visor board are secured to the side csnt rails (padded/upholstered boards above each door frame), which have metal tabs protruding at the fronts - to mount the visor board to. Using drill bit tipped screws can help with the first time installation if the holes don't line up (you can make a new hole or two in the mounting tabs).
