    Weber 34 ICH rebuilding

Going thru the process of rebuilding an old ( age/ history unknown) weber that came with the trucks spare parts. Looking at the main butterfly valve shaft, there seems to be a VERY slight amount of play in the shaft. The hole doesn't seem at all dished out, but I wanted to see if folks had experience with how sensitive these are to wear, etc.... Seems like maybe Solex or zenith are often discussed when folks re bush them, but never have heard about webers..... Again, not even sure it's an issue, just thought to ask....

Did your rebuild kit come with new throttle shaft bushings?

webbers are generally inexpensive enough that they are often replaced when the throttle shaft or bushings are worn.

Yes they are. Has anyone ever noticed a staining at the bottom of their mount to the manifold over time? (brown stain on manifold at base of carb).
