    Where to rebuilt altenator?

    Hi,
I recently had the altenator in my D90 replaced and was told I should have the old one rebuilt for future use. Should I heed that advice? If so who and where I should sent it to?
    Thanks.

Any good, reputable auto electric shop. Look in the yellow pages.

Make sure you ask for a complete rebuild if thats what you want or they will just replace the parts that are not working and send you on your way. I got a quote of $35 to repair or $85 to rebuild with a 3 year warranty. Search under Auto Electric Shop in your area. Most shops also rebuild starters too.
