1994 discovery fm radio volume issues

Hello,


I have a completely stock 1994 Discovery with the six disc cd changer and rear door sub.


Everything works except the FM. The FM volume either doesn't come on or comes on and goes down until I cant hear it.


Once again, the CD, tape deck and AM radio work perfectly.


Has anyone experienced this? If so, how do you recommend I troubleshoot?

Have you tried to see if the volume button on the dash surround, not radio, is operating as it should?

Thanks Les. Yes I have.

The problem is an odd one, the volume works perfect on every other aspect of the sound system (CD, AM, Cassesstt). But the FM fades to nothing with in a minute.

I don't know if it is an antenna issue or tuner issue.

Do you know which port the antenna gets plugged into? On the back of the radio there are two ports to plug into (main and sub)
