My rear upper tailgate seal has curled under at one end. It is, in all other respects, a sound seal and I just want to straighten it out. Can any one tell me how I can do this please?

Pull the inside trim piece off to reveal the linkage. If there is room, tactfully drill a hole through the rubber seal's mounting piece into the bottom of the tailgate and rivet it back together using a big, flat, square washer -like a thin piece of scrap hard plastic or sheet metal to hold the rubber.

If the rubber needs to be glued back on, use something water proof and sticky, Gorilla Glue? After you set the glue (carefully and with no mess) shut the tailgate with the seal in the desired place and let sit.

The rubber is fine - it is just the bottom edge at one corner that has curled. I will try a gentle heat from the wife's hair dryer tomorrow ... when she is at work ... with a piece of wood behind it to keep it outward.
