Series 111 xfer case question

Does the xfer case on a Ser III have its own breather? I can see the breather hole in the round plate on the top cover of the gearbox. I can also see a small breather hole in the plate towards the back of the gearbox. On the transfer case assembly I see 2 cover plates but no not see any breather hole in either one? Am I just being blind?
