I am changing the transmission on my '60 series 2. I have attached the bracket for the transfer lever. The flange on the replacement transmission (#1) is substantially thicker than the one I am replacing (#2). Do I need the two spacers that positioned the bracket on the bellhousing? I assume that the thicker flange is designed to eliminate the need for the spacers. Do I have it assembled correctly?
