So, as from Wednesday October 25th, I'll not be at Rovers North taking phone calls.
It has been a very interesting journey for 22+ years of listening, learning whilst trying to pass on my knowledge and passion of the Land Rover product.
I'll still be in the background on the forums, I can contacted by the usual email, though replies maybe a tad delayed.
Time to maintain some of my own projects.
All the best and thanks for all the support over the years.

Les.

WOW. Les... First "met" you in 97. You helped me with my Defender parts questions. Last met you in person - last summer - swinging by RN with my 2a on a road trip, had to stop and thank you for the rear quarter glass you found for me. You're one of a kind. THANK YOU for all you've done for the Rover universe.

What happens to Les's Loft?
Will they change the answering service message??

So many questions ;-)

Glad you will still be haunting these parts.

Congrats Les! I'll miss talking to you when I call RN. It was great actually meeting you face to face at Metal dash last month.

Thanks for your support over the years. Believe it or not I've been buying parts for my Landy from RN for the same 22+ years you've been there - got it in 1995, earned a free Mt. Mansfield Heater through the "RN Restoration Credit Program."

If you are retiring I wish you much enjoyment. I did so at the beginning of the year and its been great.

Cheers,
erik

What can I say Les. I have known you for a very long time. Hope to be a part of your Lincoln circuit, see you at one of the meets, and you helped procure fuel bowls that I had engraved for my best man and groomsmen at my wedding last year. And did we make use of them ;). Enjoy your retirement.

Glad we were able to have a "whip" round for the glass fuel bowls and they worked out for you.
Recycling at it's best !!!

Best of luck mate. Thanks for your help over the years with my (sold to another owner) Defender 90, and helping to get parts for my series.

Best wishes, Les; I'm certain that your absence will be felt by everyone at Rovers North, as it will be with the entire North American Rover community. To many of us, you were the voice and face of Rovers North.

Let us know when you get the "Linkin' Lincolns" itinerary finalized!

Hey Les best of luck! We first met when I bought my first LR part from you at RN and you lived just a few miles away and brought the part home which I picked up the same day at your place in CV. That was very convenient and continued until you moved to VT.
See you soon!!

Les, it was my pleasure to talk with you over my 22 years of Rover ownership and being a Rovers North customer. I just helped a friend find a Series III and I sent him to you for parts. He texted me the other day to say that Rovers North had told him you weren't there any more. Bittersweet for me.

Happy trails, and keep your hubs locked!
