I have a ‘60 Series 2 and have been trying to get the transmission brake working. When I bought it there was nothing inside the brake drum. I bought the expander, adjuster, and springs that says they fit Series 2 and up. the brake shoes said the same but then I see references to early shoes. I couldn’t get the shoes to fit with the springs on.
I have seen posts that say it is easier to get everything in place without the prop shaft in place. Before I rip it all apart I thought to check if the later shoes are different enough that the issue is or will be the shoes.
Any help would be appreciated.
