DIY bonnet tire lock post?

Truck (SIII) never had bonnet tire lock post. No aftermarket sources based on my searches and never see them on EBay. Anyone made a DIY lock post? Please share (particularly photos). Ideas welcome.

I used a hood pin for a hot rod and drilled a hole for it in line with one of the wheel stud holes. Oh, and Pro Comp shocks work well on my SIII Hi-cap. I used Terrafirma on my wife's Discovery because it's heavier.
