What is the best way to release the belt tensioner
to replace the drive belt. (size tool/method)
How much tension do I need to apply on the new belt.
Does rovers north sell the tool w/ a long handle for better leverage/any tricks of the trade in
getting leverage?

-cheers!

Greetings,
The tensioner is released by a 15mm nut in the center of the pulley. (by turning it clockwise)
Its not hard to turn so, a boxed end wrench or a socket on a ratchet will work fine.
When you put the new belt on, just release the tensioner on the belt and it puts the correct tension on it by itself.
(you will need to remove the upper fan cowl)
If you want....PM me a fax # and I can fax you the info.
Peace,
Art
