    Rich

can anyone help? My 95 RR CLWB 4.2 liter has developed a real loud squeal. Initially I thought it was the ac compressor but, after removing the fan belt all pulleys move (AC, ALT, PWR STEERING and fan blade turn easily) The noise is almost like a whistle and seems to be coming from somewhere below the passenger side exhaust manifold. There is no noise until i give it some gas (with or withhout the fan belt on) at idle nothing????????

    Thanks in advance

    Rich,

I'm having the same issue with mine. Did you ever figure out what the problem/solution is?

It could be a bad gasket on either the head to manifold of\r maifold to front pipe.
Have you tried to re-torque the bolts?

I agree with Les (silly not to, really...), but also it may be a crack in the pipe right below the manifold connection (had one there once...). And sometimes an intake manifold will have a vacuum leak and sound the same (a pressure whistle or vacuum whistle sound alike).
