Forgive me if this was discussed elsewhere here... I thought it was, but I couldn't find the thread for the life of me.

I'd like to know what folks like to use for cleaning their canvas tops? I've heard everything from just using a diluted household cleaner to products such as RaggTopp. What are your preferences? We have two soft tops here which are starting to get a little grungy, and one that looks like it may even have some mold (!) starting. How about protectant products after a cleaning?

Thanks,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer,

On my 109 canvas I just used some mild dish washing liquid in a bucket with warm water and a scrub brush on a long wooden handle.
Rinse it well and let it dry, then I treated it with CANVAK (worked very well)
Peace,

Would the same advice hold true for the military canvas tops?

Thanks!

Canvak is great stuff.

Make sure its warm and fluid when you apply it.

Best of all make sure the area is ventilated.

Yes, it works on all canvas....MOD & GI included
