    bought a 66 IIa 88 today!

    Finally,

8 years after selling my SIII, I finally bought another rover!

66 IIa 88, the guy rebuilt the motor, redid the brakes, clutch, gearbox, transfer case, diffs, ball joints, clutch, the works. Cosmetics are what need to be done now. Dented in all the usualy places, paint gone in all the usual places, and it needs a new wiring harness. $4500. Glad to be back.

            whoohoo.......Dhoa

I've been doing that all day! I've been running through what I need to get 'er running. So far, its a bunch of dump parts the guy should have kept.
oil pan drain plug, radiator drain plug, re route break and clutch lines, wiring harness (knew that going in), a couple of fasteners here and there for the throttle, the top plate on the brake pedal assembly (the one the hydraulic fluid can mounts to), mount shocks, tighten bolts everywhere. It should take me a couple weeks of tinkering here and there, and I'll have her running. Then I really get to find out where I need to concentrate my efforts.

              Ahhhh....the early days

..of list making ...(parts and repairs)...when one gets a new vehicle.

I hope the newness never wears off.
