Need some used parts sources for things RN no longer carries. Specifically, the top cover for the break pedal box (the one the break/clutch fluid reservoir bolts to), and a battery/air cleaner tray (ouch, expensive).

Thanks,

Travis

ike goss @ pangolin4x4 has supplied some reasonable parts.

christina calado, can't recall her address off hand but she is on this forum

britrest in quebec www.britsrest.com

$75.00 for a battery tray? they are common, since they rarely rust and every parts truck should have one. I wouldn't pay much more than $20.

sorry, my $.02...

Do a search for TLR land rover, or Rovers down south.

Ref used parts, our hosts have a lot of used parts at their disposal.
The battery boxes, in areas where road salt is abundant, are prone to an early demise, due to corrosion.
Why not try the sponsors of this site before bandying other names around?

Just my 2p worth................

if i needed a battery/aircleaner box i would gladly pay $75 for a used one compared to the price of a new one, i've never seen rover parts at a yard sale?

go to the series metal dash swap meet in two weeks in petersham MA!

look around on the various boards, LRX.com, etc. The used parts are out there and plentiful. and on eBay too.

Travis. I have a batter/air cleaner tray I would be willing to get rid of if you haven't already found one. E-mail me at pgrosso@unum.com

RN has a used air cleaner support, all nice and clean, black painted even! for $100.00, please call, let me know, also avail is the bracket for the reservoir to bolt to, is this the part you need. It goes ontop of the brake pedal box on early Series vehs. I am planning to be in MA for the "All Metal Dash" event, so if there is some stuff folks need, I can bring it along with the Lucas
Training Aid I'll be toting to the event.

Well, if you were at the British Invasion last year or going to be at the event in MA next week end, you would know. If not, watch for RN's Fall newsletter for info.
