Steady Strip for Fan Shroud

Can someone tell me where the steady strip for the fan shroud goes? I think I've figured out where it attached to the shroud but can't see where the other end goes.

On my late SIIA it mounts to the side of the battery tray. Look at the rear inboard leg of the tray and there should be a hole.
