here is a picture of my 1973 siii. I have done a ton of work on this vehicle including a rebuilt bulhead and new frame, 4+ years and almost ready for the road! I attached the picture hope it shows with this post.

OK the picture came in as a thumbnail. How would I make it large like other post?

It all depends on how you attach the photo. If you click on it the photo comes up much larger. Many people use one of the photo sites as then you are allowed to throw i a bunch of photos and not just one.

The truck looks great!

Wow I feel your pain. I have been working on mine for a little over two years. I started with a new frame and went from there. Really all that is left is some finishing touches, but I am having trouble getting it registered. Good luck with finishing yours up.

Nice work.

Did you paint it yourself?

I did all the work on this vehicle including my first paint job. I got better after painting all the interior parts before reassembly and getting some good coaching. This restoration included a new frame, rebuilt bulkhead (bought it rebuilt) SII tub which required a ton of work (my SIII had tons of galvanic corrosion) new door tops/ bottoms, all new brakes end to end, new seals on everything, new front springs, everything was taken off cleaned and replaced/repaired as necessary,,,,,, ect,,,,,. I'm almost ready to put it on the road, new window tracks on doors and back side panels, seat belts and small list of other minor items. 4 years and about $5k of parts to get it to this condition. Right now finding seat belts that I like is driving me crazy. I tried installing inertia belts but did not like any of the locations to put the reels. What I want is static belts like I had (belts are fine but the connector parts are broken) can't find any anywhere.
Speaking of putting it on the road where has everyone bought insurance for their rovers? This is a 1973 so it would qualify fro classic car insurance.

I installed a set of belts out of a mid-80's Saab 900. The reel is right next to my left shoulder but I don't even know it's there. Nice and cheap and easy to find. I can shoot some photos if you'd like.

Did you consider inertia reel belts out of a 90 or 110? They come up on ebay.uk all the time.

I bought a set of inertia belts and do not like any of the mounting locations. I'm pretty well convinced that new static belts are no where to be found. Thinking of just putting in some lap belts.

I have a set of static belts that I may be willing to part with. Email me.
