My '00 DiscoII just started doing this.
The coolant temperature no longer gets to normal operating temp. it remains lower than normal. It does fluctuate a bit. for example it gets higher when I am climbing a hill, but still never gets to its normal position.
The normal position has always been when the needle is perfectly horizontal....midway between C and H. Now it moves around near the C and never gets to normal mid range.
Fluid level is normal and there is no air in the system.
Is this a thermostat stuck in the open position??
