SIIA 88 Tail pipe fixings (LHdr)

Where does the tail pipe clamp mount to the frame? I have homemade exhaust that I am replacing and see the muffler bracket hanging off the frame, but dont see any holes where bracket 239716 would attach.

Were there holes in the frame for this tail pipe bracket to mount solidly?
Would it have a flex strip (244316) between the TP bracket and frame?
Am I missing a welded hanger strip off the frame? (like how the muffler mounts)

I am referencing page 368 in my parts book.

Jeff,
This is what the brackets should look like under the left rear wheel arch on a left exit pipe. There is a welded bracket on the chassis that mounts one end of the flex strip and the barcket takes the other.

With a bit of luck there is an image below showing this.

..and mine is there. The current tailpipe exits in another area.
