A buddy who worked at a rover dealership gave it to me back in 98. Anyone ever seen one before? If so, whats it worth? Its about the same size as the badge on the back of your rover. It is currently stuck to my sons bunk beds.

Thanks,

ah yes, very very rare. only made up 'til the late fifties they're call predict-a-name plate. you see land rover was originl founded and operated by druids who when they began production in 1940 expected to stop producing land rovers in 1998 which coinsides with the end of the druid calendar, kind of like the aztec's ends in 2012 but they never really got into the automotive industry

but on more seriesous note. it looks like a dealer promotion thing kinda like license plate frames. on my series the oval and that that thing on the bottom are two seperate seperate pieces, worth? i don't know.

Well, jeeze newbys,:p It's the Land Rover 50 year specialty self-sticking badge. Also had lapel pins, T-shirts and so forth. We had quite a nice party as well.:sly:

Like Scott,

I think it looks like something from a toombstone indicating the death of land rover in 1998. wierd.

I guess it can stay on my sons bunk bed, although even he thinks its alittle stupid now.

Maybe I'll cut the bottom off it, and use it as a new badge on the back of my truck.

They sold for big money the day after the event, till people realized they made a zillion of them.
