while pulling a car of the ditch the other day in the snow, all the trucks weight was on the front right tire. the tire had some dry rotting being 20 years old, now when i spray soapy water on the side wall is bubbles alittle. would you put a tube in it?? i like the tires and cant find them anymore. these are co-op tires from southern states..

the problem that you have is the stress of dismounting and then re mounting the tyres could make the cracks worsen but i guess you have nothing to loose, those tyres are sold by different mfg's under different names , mine are called gateway buckshot mudders......

Post a picture of them-sometimes older tire molds are swapped from one maker to the next, you never know what brand might be making them and where.

That's a neat tire. The General tires that I want back though, are the Versa-Trac. I loved them.

the last time I checked, about 2 years ago, the Southers States store in Gloucester, VA said they could still get the Coop Grip Spurs. 750x16 and 900x16

In case you are interested, I have a set of 5 Deestone D503 "Land Rover/Military Truck" tires that I will be posting for sale soon. They are 7.50 x 16 and were used on a 109. Here is a link to the manufacturer's site:

They are in good shape and have a lot of tread left. I can send pictures if you are interested.
