do you have one of those roof top tents on that?!

Roof top igloo - it was on the Alaskan Spec North American spec Rovers that also came with a double Kodiak heater and a fire ring instead of the middle seat - fire ring could only be used when the vehicle is stopped.

I am not familiar of that which you speak.

mmm, i didn't know of this option. was there a roof mounted thatched hut that preceded the tropical top?

JP, the fire ring was multi-fuel, fed by the driver's seat exhaust gas recirculation system. Call our hosts and see, they might still have one NOS.
1 802 379 0032 ask for Lanny. That system could also be used to run the eberspacher gas fired heated seats. Eating a can of beans before setting out on a cold morning was adviseable.

Anything below 40 and I begin to freeze up.

I guess my oil runs on the thick side, needs the heat to circulate.:)

I'd rather have 110 year round than have cold weather.

You sick man!
I can and have worked on vehicles in the snow and slush because I can always add more clothes. I find it very difficult, however, to work on a truck in the heat. My fuse gets shorter at anything above 90 and by 110 things start getting expensive. I hate it when my tools get too hot to pick up with my bare hands.

I had to change an air spring on my wife's allroad this summer and it read 135 on the thermometer in the garage. She tells me that for the sake of my son and the other neighbourhood children's innocense she will put it into the dealer next time.

Cheers

Correction Lane, that was not Rover induced, but Allroad induced. Whatever the hell an allroad is...

Hot tools I can handle, but when my hands get numb, that I cannot stand.

I'm not saying 110 is my ideal temp, just that I'll take that over the cold. 80 is about perfect.

How horrible. People actually drive those? Yes, people actually drive Audi quattros. I don't drive an allroad, but I do drive an Audi //S6 when the wife lets me. I'd be more than happy to give you a ride in mine - when its snowing out of course :sly: . Here's a proper digital ride :thumb-up: in a kinda *special* version.
