So I read the sticky thread above labeled "electrical problems", and while it seems it would be great and helpful, it is just that I don't even know where to begin. When someone says Rovers have bad grounding issues, and I need to clean all the ground connections, I mean, I don't even know which wire is the ground wire. How do I get started in being able to care for my Rover without having to haul it to a shop every-time is gives me trouble? Which it just did... which, you guessed it, some kind of electrical problem.

For those of you who are more experienced in mechanics, how did you get started and what can I do to learn more?

Like you i am learning as i go.

there is a great manual for the rover, it has everything (almost) from the simple step by step to the complex stuff that i would never try at home. People post here for tips and for help diagnosing the issue. It has been a huge help for me. Plus the folks at roversnorth can get you the parts you need very quickly (well for me in boston it is super fast)

oh, you can buy the manual in paper or on CD for the computer.
