    Hi-Lift Jacks - is there a bracket?

Hi guys. I've got a hi-lift and I've got nowhere in the truck to put it. Is there some kind of bracket that allows me to mount the jack on the outside of the truck? What do you guys use? Thanks!

I went through these same questions a few months ago :-) Hi-Lift makes two types of mounts, though only one is really suitable for exterior mounting. It seem that a lot of people make their own, as the mounts really are little more than a big bolt passing through body of the jack. A lot depends on where you want to mount it too.

I ended up using the "Hi-Lift 4 X Rack" that our hosts here sell and mounted it to the back of my roof rack.

The one on the roof rack looks great! Mind you, I don't have a roof rack...

So, with that being the case, is there in fact somewhere it will fit inside? Do people bolt them under the rear seat or anything? Just wondering. I suppose when I go home I'll start looking about and measuring

Seems like I've seen them mounted directly behind the seats on the rear bulkhead as well as vertically on either side of the rear door.

wish i had pics of mine but don't so here's a rude drawing. 4" angle iron bolted on using the 2 far right rear tub to frame bolts and the 4 bolts that hold the handle on. top bracket is a couple of pieces of 2" angle iron welded together such that they slide (very tightly) over the top of the tub rail and a tab sticks out below the canvas.
