Hello all, Just joined this forum & thought you all might be interested in seeing a few pics of my 1966 SIIA. It is all original with about 20,000 miles on the clock. This Land Rover was originally used by the Honorable Artillery Company to tow cannons to the Tower of London for the Queens birthdays or visiting Heads of State! All the original markings are still in beautiful condition. In the early nineties four of these identical vehicles were decomissioned & auctioned off. A friend of mine bought this one which at that time had about 9,000 miles on the clock & imported it. I purchased it from a few years ago & have thoroughly enjoyed it!

That is a beautiful example of a Series IIA. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I'm quite new to Series vehicles and consider my 63' IIA to be in good shape but yours is a true beauty.

Cheers,
Thomas

Both "Rovers" are terrific! Congratulations on the importation of the State Rover.

Very very nice!
Of course now you'll want to go and offroad a Rover - which will require a second!

Thanks Sayers, The Alsatian's name is Gunnar & he is a wonderful companion now almost three years old. He was born in Reinsdorf, Germany. Thanks again.

Hi Saxondog, No he doesn't have a Schutzhund Title, but he comes from a long line of champions. Thanks

Hi Tim Smith, The tires are Michelins, offhand I can't remember the size. I will check when I go to our vacation home where it is stored. Thanks

Why? Enjoy what you have. Trucks need to be driven not admired. You can always respray, repair and rebuild.

Nice pooch.
