I have a set of vent screens that have been sitting in a box for a while and thinking about mounting them. I have two "large" and two small ones like 6" but I aint seen them mounted before...anyone got some pics?

ha it is. I think the truck last moved on its own power in 1981, so those were all the rage back then :)

That is funny... I haven't seen nor thought about those things in over 20 years.

How are the vents mounted, just small self tapping screws? Thanks for the pics.

I think so. I haven't removed them yet (that's this summer when bulkhead gets repaired)

The vent screens are mounted with sheet metal screws. Really easy if they were there prior but in my opinion a real PITA to do from scratch but well worth it.

When fixing this truck up - I would do everything I could to preserve the FM converter. It is a way cool piece of nostalgia.

There's a CB cable in the truck too...

'70s or early '80s- from back when that truck was someone's workhorse.

I'm not sure it was ever a workhorse - it was owned by a doctor and I think it was more of a pleasure vehicle or commuter. The body is way too straight to be a workhorse. Who really knows though. can't wait to fix it up!

If I understood my friend correctly, Japan has had stereo AM for years.

Made me feel like a caveman when I was told this.
