Finally did it

Well after almost two years of asking questions about thread size and pitch I finally managed to use my old water temp gauge in the cluster to measure oil temp. I found an Smith's oil temp sender that I screwed into the oil cooler line where the old dead capilary gauge screwed into and then tied it into the end of the wiring harness where the water temp sender plugged in. The Rover gods must have been smiling as it actually works. Got the sender from http://www.holden.co.uk. Wasn't inexpensive but I hated having the gauge that didn't work.
