There was a person on ebay.co.uk that was selling auxillary instrument panels he was making foe series and they were pretty nice. You could order left or right and one or two guage holes cut. This was one of those buy it now type listing. I had saved the listing but it was somehow erased from my saves. Does anyone know of what I refer and, if so, how to contact this individual? They were very nice and about $50 a pop.

I bought a few from him just a couple of weeks ago - very good quality. His contact info:

peterwilmshurst_a_t_supanet.com

Be sure to tell him left or right side of the main panel, and whether or not they go under the vent levers (there is a small notch for that, otherwise no notch).

He will cut the 52mm holes for extra gauges (one or two per panel) or sell blank ones for switches. Just tell him what you need.

remove the _a_t_ and replace with the @ symbol.

No problem, happy to help and glad I can give back since I have received a lot of good advice here.

Check these out - here is what I am planning with these panels (as-is and to-be):

I have seen these pop up on eBay occassionally; does anyone know where they would be mounted and what they are used for:

To S11A I love your diagrams. How are they done? Obviously you have more time than me to figure them out.

BTW Do you not have a choke?

Cheers

I did it in PowerPoint, didn't take very long at all - this is mostly a bunch of squares and circles and I use that program a LOT for work.

It is a diesel...

The stop switch may not be in the stock position - in the manual, the panel below the dash to which the hand throttle and key are mounted is shown having the stop switch there next to the key. I need to go look at the panel and see if the extra hole is there or not.

SIIA, Ditto on your diagrams - great way to plan things out - especially since we don't have a bunch of extra room to work with on series facia's! I made my own panels out of alum. (0.063" 3003 H-14). Easy to reproduce rolled edge w/leather mallet and wood pattern cut to size. I needed non std. size for A/C panel. I used '67 MGB defrost/heat knobs and then made my own 'switch labels' using fender washers shaped to factory specs. painted them blk. then used Chartpack white transfer letters, then clear coat to protect. All switches look orig. even though they control items never installed by Rover. Ck out some of my pics under my 'newbie' thread. to see what I'm talking about.

cheers!
